FP Plus is Prysmian's enhanced fire resistant cable for systems where the fire strategy demands survival under fire with water spray and mechanical shock (BS 8434-2 / "enhanced" category under BS 5839-1) — typically buildings over 30 m, hospitals, and unsprinklered premises where circuits must operate longer during evacuation.
Alongside Prysmian, we stock Draka (a Prysmian Group company) FT30 and FT120 fire resistant cables, offering 30-minute and 120-minute fire survival ratings for fire alarm, voice evacuation and smoke ventilation circuits. FT120 is the practical answer where a 120-minute circuit integrity requirement appears in the specification.

Tall buildings, hospitals, and any specification citing BS 8434-2 or “enhanced fire resistance” → FP Plus. A stated 120-minute survival time → FT120.
